MIS have been providing systems to the Ambulance Services in the UK and Ireland for a quarter of a century, it is obvious that we aren’t just doing something right, we really must be doing very little wrong!

C3 For PTS

The PTS module within C3 represents one of the most exciting areas of development that is available to the Patient Transport Services market today. Using our unparalleled experience of the market, stretching back well over 25 years, we have created a system that has operations savings and efficiencies built in from the ground up.

Using the highly developed C3 desktop environment, Ambulance Trusts have at last; a ‘Computer Aided Dispatch System’ which allows both the PTS and A&E tiers of the Trust to operate in unison.

MIS Emergency Systems is a market-leading supplier of Transport co-ordinating systems to the Emergency Services. One of our most interesting areas of development has been that of Patient Transport Systems where our unprecedented investment in research and development continues to be driven by the huge increases in the numbers of passengers, and continued demands for improved quality of service. It would have been easy to simply create an ‘updated’ version of our existing PTS systems, but instead we undertook an extensive analysis of what the modern Patient Transport Services market require in a system, and the result, C3 PTS.

Fully Integrated Ambulance Database

Data files within C3 have been optimised to allow both the A&E and PTS business areas to share information. Within C3 there is, for example, one common street gazetteer, one common hospitals database and you can be assured this philosophy runs throughout the whole product range. In addition, in common with all C3 products, all file updates are fully audited via the unique Sequence Of Events (SOE) facility integral to every function across the application.

Unique Patient Master Index

The ‘Self Learning’ Patient Master Index (PMI) within C3 PTS is the most comprehensive of its type in the transport market today. Not only does it provide features such as multiple ‘home’ addresses and record information on usual destinations, but it then makes that information available for your A&E controllers, as well as the PTS staff. Therefore, the system will ‘know’ if a patient is due to be conveyed by PTS, but has been taken into hospital the night before as a result of say, a GP’s Urgent call.

Functionality Designed for the Real World

From the outset, we spent many hundreds of man-hours conducting extensive research into which features PTS staff wanted in their ‘ideal’ PTS system. We used the combined experience of many staff from a broad range of Ambulance Trusts to design a system, not only to give quantifiable operational efficiencies, but also to be simple and straightforward to use. These are indeed exciting times for the modern PTS provider and with C3 PTS there is, at last, a system to allow you to make real progress.

The Information Age

A major benefit of C3 PTS is the high quality management information that the system can generate to help identify problematic areas, enabling the service to respond with minimal delay. Rest assured that you and your purchasers will not be disappointed with the range and scope of reports that are available.

Modular Approach

At MIS we fully understand that your operation will have much in common with other service providers, you may use the same Mobile Data supplier, or the same Radio or Paging system, however the reality is that your service will be unique, you may be at the cutting edge of ECP implementation, or working in hugely innovative ways with other Health Providers. In order to be as flexible as we can, and ensure that you only pay for the specific functionality that you need - today. All of our systems are designed and marketed using a modular approach ensuring that you can choose which modules best suit you, at any time, and simply implement these as and when they are needed. For a full list of available modules for Alert C3 see the section on Advanced Applications.
