It has long been accepted that Alert 2000 and Alert C3 are simply miles ahead of the rest when it comes to our audit standards and the ease upon which any incident can be reviewed, should this be as a result of failure to meet the response standard or indeed in the event that a complaint is received by the provider. In recent years we have provided a whole host of ‘quick links’ into the SOE (Sequence of Event) record to streamline the process. Now we have added another class leading enhancement in conjunction with South West Ambulance Service. The Status Plan Management SOE, provides a snap shot of the state of plan compliance at the time the call was allocated, this evaluated each of the relevant Dispatch Points, establishes if they were actually covered, and if no, could they have been, given the resource situation at the time. These valid Dispatch Points are processed by IRIS (Intelligent Route Information Service) in exactly the same way as live resources, and a summary of the standing situation is written into the call record.
