Interoperability
With Call-Connect now fully implemented in England, and likely to be introduced elsewhere in the UK and Ireland every second counts, more than ever. Interoperability is key to ensuring that calls can be passed quickly and automatically across borders or to other Emergency Services. MIS have developed a Call Passing Standard which allows for just this scenario, the robust, reliable and assured interface specification means that any recipient or donor system can participate in Call transfer.
Intercad – Call Passing Gateway
The interface provides a real-time transmit and receipt dialogue to enable a call, immediately it is identified that it should be passed to an alternative agency to be passed, incrementally to the receiving system. This process ensures that the call is forwarded as each element of key information is provided by the caller. The process can be fully automated, or manually invoked, i.e. where an ambulance call also requires a Fire attendance (currently used in States of Jersey).

MIS will be pleased to provide full details of our Intercad interface to any 3rd party system supplier which you would like to pass and receive calls with.
